THE FOUNDER / UTACMy utmost goal is to use my influence and experience to empower informed citizens, loyal political followers, political movements, and political communities to gain unhindered access to the dividends of democracy.
Over the past four decades, I have served at various levels of political leadership, rising to the highest office in Nasarawa State and subsequently serving as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Throughout this journey, one of my greatest aspirations has remained the empowerment of citizens with the knowledge, awareness, and confidence to make informed voting decisions on election day.
Beyond elections, I strongly believe that citizens should have meaningful access to accurate information and constructive engagement with their elected representatives, both before and after elections. Such engagement is essential to strengthening democratic participation, promoting accountability, and ensuring that the dividends of democracy reach the people.
I therefore encourage all patriotic Nigerians to register with the Umaru Tanko Al-Makura Community (UTAC) and join us in working together throughout the pre-election, election, and post-election periods. Through collective participation, informed choices, and purposeful engagement, we can support the emergence of the right candidates and contribute to building a stronger democratic society.
